On September 26, the City of Sarajevo’s Sustainable Development Department, together with the University of Sarajevo’s Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, held a Bauhaus Bites workshop.
Experts in forestry, agriculture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and sustainable development came together to define the concept of Sarajevo’s future Food Forest. This unique green space in Kemal Monteno Park will allow food to grow sustainably and collectively, with zero waste.
Participants shared ideas, expert advice, and experiences from projects promoting sustainability, inclusivity, and innovative urban solutions, helping shape the Food Forest’s development.
The workshop highlighted the importance of collaboration between institutions, academia, and experts. Its conclusions will guide the next steps in creating the Food Forest and a future citizen-led workshop for designing this unique green space.
