The City of Sarajevo proudly hosted the international workshop “Urban regeneration and temporary uses – sharing good practices and monitoring impacts” on 22–23 October 2025, organized within the IMPETUS project.
Over two days, partners from across Europe gathered to exchange experiences, showcase inspiring practices, and discuss how temporary uses of space can contribute to long-term urban transformation.
The workshop included:
-
Opening remarks from representatives of the City of Sarajevo, ANCI Toscana, and IMPETUS partners
-
Presentations of good practices from Italy, France, and Latvia
-
Local stakeholders presenting innovative projects and examples of urban transformation during the Sarajevo Film Festival
Participants explored key locations in central Sarajevo and were warmly welcomed at City Hall by Mayor Samir Avdić. Guests listened with interest to the city’s rich history and experienced Sarajevo’s hospitality.
They also walked through the city and enjoyed traditional Bosnian cuisine at some of Sarajevo’s most renowned restaurants, discovering the spirit of Sarajevo through flavors, stories, and memorable hospitality.
