The First URBACT Campus for IPA Fund beneficiary countries is being held in Skopje, with representatives from the City of Sarajevo's Department of Sustainable Development participating. As a long-term partner of the URBACT program, the City of Sarajevo actively contributes to all program activities through projects focused on sustainable urban development and improving the quality of life for citizens.
A Two-Day Event for Knowledge Exchange
This two-day event in Skopje has brought together Action Plan Network (APN) partners at the macro-regional level, aiming to equip cities with the tools and methodologies needed for the implementation phase of their Integrated Action Plans (IAP). The focus of this event is on the challenges that arise during IAP implementation, as well as on identifying funding sources, while participants have the opportunity to plan activities that will follow in the final months of their APN project.
Working on Key Aspects of Implementation
During the URBACT Campus, participants work together on the key aspects of successful implementation, including the operationalization of the IAP to better prepare for implementation, maintaining an integrated and inclusive approach throughout all phases, and improving access to funding sources for sustainable development projects.
Workshops, Networking, and Support
The program includes workshops, group activities, and networking sessions with APN cities, as well as opportunities to connect with donors relevant to macro-regional projects. Representatives from the City of Sarajevo participate in all activities, actively exploring tools that will enable further progress in realizing their plans and contributing to the community.
