City of Sarajevo Representatives Participate in NITIES Project Meeting and Study Visit in Tallinn
Representatives of the City of Sarajevo’s Sustainable Development Department participated last week in the NITIES project partners’ meeting and study visit to Tallinn, aimed at exchanging knowledge and experiences in the field of night-time economy development.
Bringing together partners from across Europe, the study visit focused on exploring how culture, creative industries and activities taking place after dark can contribute to creating safer, more vibrant and more inclusive urban environments.
Through project meetings, thematic discussions and visits to cultural and creative venues across Tallinn, participants had the opportunity to learn about innovative approaches to strengthening the night-time economy, increasing citizens’ participation in cultural activities, activating urban spaces beyond regular working hours and supporting local communities.
Particular attention was given to the exchange of experiences related to the development of local policies that support a sustainable and responsible night-time economy while enhancing residents’ quality of life and improving the attractiveness of cities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the project’s progress, discuss upcoming activities and strengthen cooperation among partners in developing innovative solutions for a sustainable and dynamic night-time economy.
The City of Sarajevo’s participation in the NITIES project contributes to strengthening local capacities and advancing policies that recognize the night-time economy as an important driver of urban development, cultural vitality and social inclusion.
