The City of Sarajevo, through the Department for Sustainable Development, organized a Dissemination event within the BiodiverCity project at the Faculty of Agriculture training grounds in Sarajevo. The event gathered partners, friends, and experts from different fields, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas in the areas of sustainable development, environmental protection, and inclusiveness.
The event was opened by the Deputy Mayor for Sustainable Development, Nermina Suljević, who warmly welcomed the audience, thanked her team for their dedicated work, and introduced the partners and guests attending.
During the presentations, the work and projects of the City of Sarajevo’s Department for Sustainable Development were presented, along with visual displays of current activities and initiatives, giving participants insight into concrete examples of projects and activities in focus.
Special warmth and joy were brought by students of Elementary School “Aleksa Šantić,” who performed “ABC for Peace,” with recitations and acts that brought smiles to everyone present. High school students from the Vocational Center for Addiction Prevention, together with volunteers from Boombar cocktail bar, prepared healthy juices and non-alcoholic cocktails for all attendees, showing that fun and socializing are possible without alcohol. More information about their services can be found on their Facebook and Instagram pages.

We also extend great gratitude to the supporting staff of the ProReha Association, who provided inclusive catering, further emphasizing the value of equal participation and contribution of all.
From now on, through the initiative of the Department for Sustainable Development, the City of Sarajevo will include people with developmental difficulties in all events, ensuring them an active role and contribution, as a permanent practice of inclusivity and sustainability.
This event demonstrated how joint engagement, education, and cooperation are crucial for building a sustainable and inclusive city. The City of Sarajevo plans for such dissemination events to become regular practice in future projects, ensuring that knowledge and experiences are continuously shared with the community.
Once again, we thank all partners, guests, and participants for their contribution and commitment to creating a greener, more inclusive, and sustainable Sarajevo.
